Laid back hotel. Kind of dated look. Had a temperpedic mattress in my room though. So all was good. Walking distance to the amphitheater, so drink up and don't drive.
I stayed at The Fire Side Inn & Suites in Gilford NH for one night and I've never been treated so disrespectfully in my life while trying to check out. Also it's come to my attention that they had no clue what they were doing while checking us in because they swiped the card numerous times trying to "complete" the transaction...and now have over a grand on hold through this account. The manager is continuously arguing with this fact as we explain that they have to reverse the funds. I will never again stay in this establishment or another location for that matter. I also am making it a point to share this unprofessional treatment with every travel site I can find! Worst experience of my life! Not even one sorry or single ounce of sympathy given. Unbelievable!
Absolutely loved this hotel. My mother and I stayed here overnight while visiting Gilford for a concert @ New Hampshire Bank of Pavilion. I loved the idea of the teddy bears, and bought one myself. Staff was very respectful and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious also.
Decent place. Pretty overpriced for the condition of the rooms (old and outdated) and the mediocre location.
Nice, clean hotel. Slept like a rock which is usually hard to do in a hotel bed. Nice scenic running route nearby. Staff was pleasant. Will make sure to bring suit next time. The indoor pool and Jacuzzi looked very inviting!
